Statement of Faith

Statement of Faith

This statement of faith is required of all members of Creative Kids Co-op.

1. We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the inspired Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and obedience.

2. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

3. We believe that man, created in the image of God, disobeyed, fell from his original righteousness, and became dead in sin, and that through the sin of Adam, we have all inherited a sinful nature.

4. We believe that Jesus Christ, the incarnate, sinless Son of God, was crucified and arose, bodily, from the dead, so that those who received Him by faith would have everlasting life.

5. We believe that regeneration by the power of the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for the salvation of lost and sinful people, and that His indwelling enables the Christian to live a godly life.

6. We believe in the personal return of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead.

7. We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

8. We believe that God has given parents the responsibility to bring up their children in the instruction and ways of the Lord.

9. We believe that each person has been created by God as either male or female and that sexual immorality is condemned in God’s Word. Sexual immorality includes but is not limited to promiscuity, homosexuality, bisexuality, polygamy, and transgenderism.

Philosophy of Education

Creative Kids Co-op believes the goal of education is to see, know, and understand God’s sovereign purposes for man and His providential work throughout history. Some subjects taught at the co-op instruct children in the nature of God as He has revealed Himself in His Word and in His Creation. Other subjects give students the tools and resources they need to better learn, express, and teach others of the nature of God and the complexities of His Creation. All subjects taught at the co-op share a common purpose of making students into true worshipers of the God of the universe who alone is worthy of glory. The co-op endorses an integrated approach to education, combining faith, knowledge, and reason in order to develop in students a Biblical worldview that will enable them to fulfill God’s purpose in their lives.

Statement of Purpose

Creative Kids Co-op believes parents have the God-given responsibility for the education of their children. The co-op is designed to support, not hinder or replace, parents as they fulfill this responsibility. Creative Kids Co-op emphasizes courses that may be more effectively taught in a group setting than at home. The co-op also offers courses that require teachers with specific training or expertise. By using the special talents, training, and background of parents and other Christians, the students may receive training in a wide range of topics that might be difficult to teach at home. The goal is that the instruction, course content and materials all be used to help produce in students a sound academic base within a Biblical worldview.
